The vision for ATP has been uniquely co-created by Mirvac and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), the anchor tenant for the site. In an industry first, Mirvac partnered with CBA to develop the original tender for the site, seeing the companies collaborate on each step of the development planning, leading to a powerful shared vision that both organisations are working towards together.

Upon completion in 2020, the new precinct will deliver a state of the art work and lifestyle destination for approximately 18,000 workers with the three CBA buildings bringing 10,000 new workers to the site. The activated retail and public spaces will be carefully curated to meet the needs of today’s modern, flexible workforce as well as the wider community, including a retail mix of al fresco cafes, dining, a gym, pop-up events and a supermarket, creating a village hub. In this way the site will welcome, celebrate and enrich the lives of its communities, pioneering new standards in commercial campus design.

LITENET was proud to take part manufacturing light fittings to this project.

The upgrade at Quakers Hill East Public School is now finished and operational to meet the needs of the student community.

Litenet proudly took part in supply of outdoor and indoor light fittings, the i,age gallery shows the diversity of Litenet light fittings used on this school upgrade project. Our famous Alpha range was used for outdoor building illumination and strip lighting has been used for indoor classroom illumination with natural light.

Cecil Hills Public School is a modern primary school opened in 2003. It is located within the Cecil Park residential area situated approximately 8km northwest of Liverpool.

Cecil Hills Public School has both permanent and de-mountable classrooms, an administration building, library, special programs room, community hall, canteen, covered outdoor learning area, covered basketball/netball court, cricket nets, soccer field and a covered fixed playground.

The buildings face north to maximise comfort conditions for students and staff while minimising energy requirements. Strip lighting over major spaces maximise natural lighting while natural ventilation is encouraged by the design of the room layout and the provision of room vents.

LITENET designed  Alpha WDI range of outdoor surface mounted down lights were used to create a blending outdoor experience.  Our indoor range of down lights and recessed extrusion lighting were used in combination with natural light to maximise the use of light across classrooms.

St Pius X High School – Library

MBA Newcastle Award Winner 2018

Working with Catholic Schools Office, Reitsma recently completed a stunning new library at St Pius X High School. The project required the demolition of the existing library, and the construction of a new two-storey Library and Forecourt. The remarkable design by SHAC Architects includes expansive Aramax roofing, a grand timber amphitheatre, seniors learning area, modern study and creation spaces.

Litenet proudly was a part of this project providing custom lighting solution for indoor and outdoor from our extensive product range.

LITENET proudly took part in supply of light fittings to Port Macquarie Airport upgrade.

This upgrade will double the existing floor space, increase service capability and provide a more contemporary, comfortable and efficient facility for passengers and other airport visitors.

New amenities will be provided and there will be significant changes to enable ‘back of house’ operations to function more efficiently. Additional elements include new air conditioning, baggage reclaim services, upgrades to flight check-in and departure areas and retail facilities. The electrical supply will also be upgraded, and a new reticulated sewer system installed.

Penrith Anglican College Performing Arts Centre builds upon the lessons at Shellharbour and re-deploys similar strategies in a more complex environment. The building here accommodates a specialist music and performing arts curriculum, poorly served by an existing auditorium with limited back of house, foyer and other support functions. The new building aims to extend the life of this building in functional terms but also reorganising the school to increase focus on and engagement with it. It was therefore important that investment in the project – while framed around internal education logics – could also leverage further community involvement from potential users outside the school.

The building therefore works as a sort of “backpack” that augmented the existing theatre’s spaces and functions while also acting as a viewing pavilion for a rugby field currently bereft of any support infrastructure. Between these dual roles and formal arrangements as a backpack and pavilion, the building hosts a complex set of teaching, practice and performance spaces that further extend what is possible from the minimal budget. Tying this together are a series of Third Spaces that build upon circulation needs between and behind the classrooms and, when combined with the verandah/pavilion, form a rich network of covered outdoor practice and play areas, outdoor foyers, rugby viewing areas and multiple other potential uses.

This focus on leveraging the facility inside and outside the school must be understood in the context of the funding context within which the building was procured. The building had to be extremely cheap while addressing multiple functions and dealing with a part of the school unlikely to receive future investment after this initial project. By embedding a series of Third Spaces in the logics of the project, what could have been a series of mundane classrooms provokes a discussion around the variety and scale of spaces that should underpin further redevelopment at the school.
